Well, today is a big day! I am sharing my amazing bread recipe. This bread has a very light texture, it’s super soft, sweet enough, salty enough- basically perfect! It’s also very easy to make! Have to warn you! It’s very addictive. Extremely hard to stop on one slice… You can use pretty much any white flour for it. I use spelt because I like the light nutty flavour, but completely up to you. Basic white flour will work well. Ready? Let’s start cooking! We will need (2 loafs) 2 cups (1 cup-250 ml) of warm water 1,5 table spoons of dry yeast 7 table spoons of sugar 4 table spoons of olive oil or any other oil you have 6,5 cups of white spelt or plain white flour Salt to taste Pour water in a bowl, add yeast. Let it activate itself. Add sugar and salt. Add oil. Whisk. Add flour. Mix with your hands. Dough will be a bit sticky. Totally normal, don’t be worried. Add some more flour if needed. Dust a surface with some extra flour and knee the dough. Add extra flour if needed. At the end the dough must have a very good “Play-Doh” texture. Oil the bowl, place your dough inside, cover with a towel and let it rest for 1-2 hours in a warm place. I place mine on top of my AGA stove. The dough must double in size. Smash the dough. Make two portions. Oil your pans and place the dough inside. Cover it with a towel and let it rest for another 30 mins. It will rise again. Bake your bread for 30 mins at 180C. When ready, take it out of the oven and glaze with some vegan or regular butter. Cool your bread completely before cutting it. Enjoy!
