We return to the topic of tartlets. Today we are going to cook apple tartlets! It’s funny to watch your husband try to pick them up one by one with his big fingers! In a few words: delicate and delicious.
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking.
We will need: (10 vegan tartlets)
For the dough
2 Tbsp. buckwheat flour
3 Tbsp. oats
5 Tbsp. walnuts
1 Tbsp. vegan oil such as Earth Balance (or other vegetable oil)
2 large dates (pitted)
3 Tbsp. agave syrup (honey or maple syrup will work too)
Cinnamon to taste
For filling
2 apples without peel
5 tsp. vegan cream cheese/cream cheese (usual)
1 tsp. honey
1 tsp. apple juice
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
Preheat the oven to 150C / 300F.
Put all the ingredients for the dough into the blender and turn it into a homogeneous mixture. Oil the mold with vegetable oil and press in the dough. Grate apples and set them aside. Mix everything for the cream filling. Spread into tartlets and sprinkle each of them with grated apple. Pile the apple high because it will shrink down with baking. Sprinkle with cinnamon (if you want) and bake for 15 minutes, then turn off the oven and leave it for another 5 minutes in the heat. Keep them in the refrigerator.
Bon appétit!
