It’s not a secret that Oreo is the best-selling cookie in America.
Since 1912, when the Oreo was born, 450 billion pieces of this cookie were sold!
If all these cookies are built in the form of a turret, then you could walk to the Moon and back 5 times.
Can you imagine that!
I can’t!
Along with many fans the around the world, the Oreo has even a day in the calendar – March 6th.
It is not Springtime but today I would like to offer you a healthy, homemade version of the Oreo. It does not contain oil, it is easy to prepare, it consists of a small number of ingredients.
Sour, delicious and healthy!
You can make them softer or stiffer, just hold them in a warm oven for a little longer. They can be made completely raw if you cool the cookie sides in the freezer and then add the cream between them and freeze again.
Unbelievable cookies!
Ready? Set?
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (13 pieces)
For the base
1 cup (1 cup – 250 ml.) of almonds
8-9 soft, large dates
3 tbsp. of sugar-free cocoa powder (for a darker color I use non-alkalized cocoa powder powder)
1 tbsp. of vanilla extract
For the cream
1/2 cup cashews
1/2 cup almond or regular milk
3 tbsp. of agave or honey syrup
1-2 tbsp. of lemon juice (or to taste)
Preheat the oven to 40C / 104F, if you want your cookies to be Raw dieters, if you do not care, then preheat the oven to 93C / 200F. In the latter case, the baking time will be 20 minutes, the first will double time.
Chop the almonds.
Add cocoa powder.
Add dates and vanilla.
Using the dough shape the cookies thinly. Distribute them on baking paper. Put them in the oven and slowly dry for about 15-20 minutes (raw food is baked longer). Take out and cool it. It is important to have the cookies completely cooled, otherwise the cream will simply run off.
Mix everything for the cream. Do not forget to soak the cashews in water for a couple of hours if your blender is weak and can not crush dry nuts.
Distribute the thick cream on one side of the cookie. Place the second cookie on top. Return to the oven for 20 minutes or until you reach the desired firmness.
Ready!
Let’s cool it and serve!
Bon appetit!
