It’s delicious! It’s very simple!
It’s very healthy! It’s not rice, it’s cauliflower! Don’t believe me? Let me explain.
This extremely delicate “rice” garnish consists of just a few ingredients and, in taste and texture, is very similar to ordinary rice with vegetables.
I really like the combination of onions and carrots, since for me this combination is the pure taste of childhood, but you can safely experiment with something more “mysterious” like string beans or broccoli.
This garnish (or main dish) will be a perfect fit with any sauce, from chili to soy.
Simple and healthy. Just like we like it!
Ready. Set. Let’s go cooking!
We will need:
1/4 of a large onion
1/2 of a medium cauliflower (6-8 medium ‘flowers’)
Salt and black pepper to taste
Vegetable oil for frying
Grate the carrots, cut the onions.
Pour the oil into a frying pan and fry the vegetables.
Wash and cut the cauliflower.
Put the cauliflower in a blender and slightly blend it. You need to get a “grainy” texture. Just a few pulsations.
Pour the cauliflower in with the vegetables and cook for about 5 minutes. Add salt and pepper. I love spicy flavors so I add a lot of black pepper, but the choice is yours. Done! Now to serve it. You can add a bit of soy sauce or any other dressing to this dish.
Everyone will be amazed. Bon appétit!
P.S. If you eat eggs, I recommend putting 1 poached egg on top of this dish. That’s it!
