Today we’re making our favorite cookies.
Sweet, fragrant, slightly soft, melt in the mouth! In my opinion, this is the most basic cookie recipe. It is easy to understand, simple to make, and will please absolutely everyone.
It does not contain all-purpose flour and is prepared without milk, and all the necessary liquid in the recipe is provided by the applesauce.
These cookies are wonderfully stored.
I love these cookies without any extra additions, as they already have a bright peanut taste, but you can always add raisins, other berries, seeds or just chocolate chips.
They can also be sprinkled with powdered sugar or cocoa powder.
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (12-14 pieces)
1/2 cup (1 cup – 250 ml) of whole-wheat flour
1/2 cup oats
1/2 teaspoons of baking soda (I use baking powder)
1/3 cup of applesauce (you can take baby applesauce)
1/3 cup peanut butter
1/3 cup maple syrup or brown sugar
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
Preheat the oven to 150C / 300F.
Grind the oats in the blender to the consistency of flour.
Combine the oats with the whole wheat flour and soda, and then mix the butter with applesauce, vanilla and syrup.
Combine the dry and wet ingredients to get a dense dough, from which you form the cookies. Once the cookies are formed, you can use a knife to make some pattern on top of them.
Line the baking sheet with baking paper and distribute the cookies. Bake them for 20 minutes, then turn off the oven and leave the cookies inside until the oven cools down or until the cookies dry to your liking. Be careful not to burn the cookies.
Done! Cool and serve!
