It’s summertime and it’s red hot outdoors! What can be better than a ball of chocolate ice cream? I’ll tell you what. Only two balls of chocolate ice cream!
And if it’s sugar-free and made without any unhealthy ingredients, then there can be easily three balls of it!
Today I present you my recipe for sugar-free, nut-free, milk-free chocolate ice cream, consisting of just a few ingredients.
Delicate, tasty and very healthy. Its main component is avocado.
Its properties are not spoken often, but I will remind you again.
From only 100 grams of avocado, you get a charge of vitamins K, C, B5, B6, B3, riboflavin, E, zinc and potassium (more than in a banana).
Avocado does not contain salt and cholesterol. 100 g. of avocado contains 7 grams of fiber, which is 27% of the recommended daily dose.
Avocado helps reduce cholesterol level and is better absorbed into fat-soluble vitamins and antioxidants such as keratin.
It reduces the symptoms of arthritis, helps maintain eye health, resists the emergence of cancer cells and reduces the side effects of chemotherapy.
Today I’m offering you not just the opportunity to enjoy a delicious ice cream, but also to receive medical treatment. Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (4 servings)
2 large avocados
11-12 large, soft dates
8 tbsp. of sugar-free cocoa powder
1/4 cup of almond or coconut milk (can be replaced with the regular one)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract (optional)
2 tbsp. of vegan chocolate chips or regular chocolate (optional)
Soak the dates: so you will achieve a uniform ice cream texture easier.
Drain the water from the dates and mix them with the avocado and cocoa powder.
Add the milk and vanilla extract. I use an alcohol-free extract, since its aroma is much gentler.
You will end up with a thick, uniform composition.
Add chocolate chips to it. Done!
Put it in the freezer for a few hours.
Serve in a waffle cone or in a bowl. Bon appetit!
P.S. I highly recommend the Edward & Sons’ “Let’s Do … Gluten Free Ice Cream Cones” cones. They are sugar and gluten-free, crunchy and children really enjoy them.
