I love porridge and I can’t imagine a single day without it.
Here at www.likelida.com, we have had oats soups, cakes, cookies, but we have not had pies yet.
Introducing…
A very delicate oats pie with blueberries!
It is surprisingly delicate, very “milky”, with a light berry note.
It feels like eating an ice cream!
You would never guess that the main ingredient in this pie is oats, which in addition to excellent taste is also very heathly.
Scientists proved that fiber, of which oats is rich in (1 cup = 8.2 grams of fiber), significantly reduces the risk of rectal cancer.
The oats has the properties of medicines to reduce the blood pressure, contains magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, flavonoids, vitamin E, carotenoids, and one cup contains 307 calories.
If you are a fan of gluten-free recipes, then you can replace the regular oats with gluten-free oats. The pie is made without flour, oil, sugar, and even agave syrup.
Once again we prove that the delicious can be healthy!
Ready? Set?
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (1 large pie)
For the base
3/4 cup (1 cup – 250 ml.) of oats
1/2 cup of almonds
3/4 cup of light raisins
1/2 of a ripe banana
For oats cream
1 cup of cashew
1/2 cup of oats
5 large and soft dates
1 cup of almond or any other milk
For cream of berries
1 cup of cashew
1/3 cup of oats
3/4 cups of thawed blueberries
3/4 cup of almonds or any other milk
Soak cashews for the cream for 3-4 hours minimum and preferably for a day and drain the water after that.
Gring the oats and almonds.
Add raisins.
Add banana.
You should get a thick mass. Distribute it on the bottom of the mold.
Combine everything for the oats cream.
You should get a thick composition. Pour it into a separate cup, if you want to make decorations on the pie, but if you do not, you can simply pour this layer over the base.
Now make the berry cream. Combine all the ingredients and blend in the blender.
You should get a thick and fragrant composition.
Both creams are ready. Now it’s time to get creative.
Let your imagination run wild!
Put it in the freezer for a minimum of 3 hours. Take it out and let it stand for 20 minutes after that cut a piece.
Done!
Bon appetit!
Double portion, anyone?
P.S. You need to store this pie in the freezer
