Today we’re baking wonderful bars for breakfast!
Simple and very tasty.
No complex ingredients, but only healthy and affordable ones.
These bars are sweet enough that any child will like them.
With a glass of almond milk, they turn into an excellent snack!
The child receives a dose of oats, and the mother feels good because her child is full. Ready? Set?
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (10 – 13 bars)
2/3 cups of whole-wheat flour
2/3 cups of oats
4 tbsp. of brown sugar
4 tbsp. of coconut oil
1 tbsp. of flaxseed meal + 3-4 tbsp. of water (replaces one chicken egg)
1/2 tsp. of cinnamon (optional)
1/2 teaspoons of baking soda (I use baking powder)
4 tbsp. of dark raisins (optional)
Preheat the oven to 130C / 270F.
Mix oats with flour, baking soda and cinnamon.
Soak the flaxseed meal in water and let it swell.
Add oil and sugar in there.
Connect it with the overall composition to get a slightly sticky dough.
Distribute the dough in molds. I have a special mold for bars, but if you don’t have one, you can put all the dough in one layer, and later cut it with a knife into portions.
Put in the oven for 15 minutes. Take it out and let it cool down.
The bars will harden after cooling.
Done!
P.S. These bars are perfectly stored outside the refrigerator.
Bon appetit!
