I confess I’ve been thinking about the name for this for a long time because these cookies look like bars in thickness but also they have square shapes. There is no appetizing word suitable for this recipe in the Russian language, (I don’t want to call them “squaries”), I decided not to invent anything and to stop at the banal “cookies”.
So, it’s cookies, friends! It is quite tough, easy to keep and very tasty! Slightly crumbly (cleaning after the children is a bit tedious), but it’s worth it!
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (20 pieces)
150 g of oats
7 tbsp. of whole wheat flour
4 tbsp. of agave syrup
3 tbsp. of dried cranberries
4 tbsp. of peanut butter
2 tbsp. of almond milk
Grind oats in a blender to the consistency of flour, then combine it with the whole wheat one. Mix agave syrup with butter and almond milk.
Add all this to the flour and mix thoroughly. Add cranberry and form a dough.
Cut out the squares with a knife.
Put them on a baking sheet that is laid with baking paper, and then put it in the preheated to 150C / 300F oven for 10 minutes. It should be slightly dried and browned. Be attentive not to burn cookies from the bottom. When the time is over, turn off the oven and leave the cookies there for another 5 minutes.
Take out, cool and eat actively!
