I love the mornings… No, not so. I loveD the mornings until I had kids. Now the morning is the greatest hustle and bustle: getting up, getting ready for school, making lunches, cooking breakfast, etc. etc.

Just waking up and enjoying the peace and quiet is no longer possible. But we’re not sad, we’re adapting.

Sometimes, I don’t even have time for a proper breakfast. And then my wonderful milkshake recipe, which I make with an oats base, comes to save me.

Pineapple and pears are responsible for the fruit notes, but for those who do not have these fruits available at this time of year, I recommend replacing them with 1/2 banana (instead of pear) and orange juice (instead of pineapple). Oatmeal can be gluten-free, then you will get a gluten-free version of the drink.

Simple and healthy, and most importantly for us – quick! Swish! And a nutritious breakfast is in front of you. And, lo and behold! You can even pour it into an iron bottle and take it with you on the way to work.

Comfy!
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!

We will need: (1 large serving)

1/3 cup (1 cup – 250 ml) of oats

2 large dates

1 cup of milk of your choice (I use soy)

1/2 ripe pear without peel

1/4 cup pineapple juice

1/3 cup cold water

Ice (optional)

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blend.

Add ice at the very end.

Done! Have a cheerful day, everybody!
Bon appetit!
