Today we are cooking an incredibly tasty and healthy dessert. Ah, yes – I forgot to mention it’s also amazingly beautiful, hee hee.
These hard candies can become a wonderful evening dessert for the whole family as well as a great treat for children’s parties.
The flavor of the carrots is barely noticeable, and the apple makes the candy very delicate and juicy.
Both children and adults will be happy!
I have to admit, it’s difficult to stop after one candy, so for fans of “evening sweets” I recommend doubling everything in the recipe.
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (12 candies)
1 large carrot
1/2 apple without skin
1 lemon slice
3 Tbsp. coconut flakes
3 Tbsp. pecans
2 dates
1 Tbsp. agave (optional)
5 Tbsp. vegan chocolate chips (can be replaced with regular chocolate)
2 tsp. coconut oil
1 tsp. sugar-free cocoa powder
Grind carrots and apples in the blender.
Add nuts and coconut flakes.
Add dates and agave.
You should get a sticky dough.
Make balls and insert sticks or toothpicks. Tip: when you roll the balls, squeeze out the excess juice, so the dough will be much more supple and easier to attach to the stick. Line the mold with baking paper and put the candies on it. Put into the freezer for 30 minutes.
Mix the chocolate chips with oil and put in the microwave for 30 seconds.
To make melted chocolate, it is necessary to add 1 teaspoon of cocoa powder.
Take out the balls, and dip each of them into the chocolate. Put them back in the freezer for 2 more hours.
Done! A fantastic dessert, ready to eat!
Bon appétit!
