I begin every day with it! No good smoothie – no good day! The boys call it “yogurt” for its density and drink it every day during lunch. It can become a whole dish, not just a drink, but that depends only on how many and what ingredients you will add.
We will need: (1 serving)
A handful of fresh spinach
Frozen berries: 3-5 strawberries, 15-20 blueberries
A minimum of 200-250 ml of apple juice
Put all the ingredients in a blender, pour the apple juice and blend together.
Now the details:
I try not to pour all the juice at once because I like thick smoothies. It is better to blend it a little and look at the consistency, if it’s too thick, add more juice.
The amount of berries depends on your preferences.
Avocado gives the drink a density and fat content, the more of it you use the tastier and satiating the smoothie will be, that will also lower the sweetness level. You won’t even notice spinach here, so if there is a need to feed your baby some spinach, this is the recipe for you. Add a few drops of lime juice or a sprig of dill (!) to get an unusual shade, for the children I often add 2 teaspoons of bitter cocoa powder. Orange juice makes the drink less sweet, and instead of banana, you can always add a few slices of pineapple. If you want to make this smoothie a full breakfast, you can add ground oats (just grind it to a state of all-purpose flour in a blender). Just 1 tablespoon of it will change everything radically, which means you will not be hungry for longer and will do without snacks until lunch.
