Many people complain these days that nuts are too expensive.
No problem! Today I offer you a very simple and affordable recipe for simple whole grain chocolate cookies.
If you do not have chocolate, then you can easily add raisins or seeds.
The cookies turn out crisp along the edges and gentle in the center. Very delicious! It reminds me very much of the oat cookies from my childhood that were sold in every store.
I use whole wheat flour, oats and brown sugar, which gives these cookies a unique texture and color.
I advise you to make a large batch: they are stored very simply, but disappear even easier with morning tea, hehe. Ready? Set?
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (16-18 pieces)
1 cup (250 ml) of whole-wheat flour
1/4 cup of oats
1/2 tsp. of baking soda (I use baking powder)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
4 tbsp. of coconut oil
1/2 cup of almond or any other milk
4 tbsp. of chocolate chips or plain chocolate
Vanilla extract
Preheat the oven to 150C / 300F.
Grind the oats to the consistency of flour.
Mix it with the flour, baking soda, sugar, vanilla, and coconut oil.
Add the milk. Add the chocolate chips.
Form cookies and put them on a baking sheet. Don’t forget to line the latter with baking paper. Try to leave a bit of space between the cookies, as they will “spread out” a little.
Bake the cookies for 15 minutes. They are done when toasted and rose a little.
They will finally set when cooled off.
Tasty and fragrant!
Bon appetit!
