If my mother read the name of this recipe, the first thing she would say, would be: “And what are they made of then?”
Exactly! Of what? The basis of these wonderful brownies is tofu, and the fastening element is oats.
No nuts, so people with nut allergies can also enjoy the sweet life. Incredibly delicate and delicious!
The undoubted charm of this recipe is also that you choose the stage of readiness yourself. Want them gentle and juicy? Bake for 25-30 minutes. Want them more dense? Bake for 45-50 minutes. Everything is amazingly simple!
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need:
1 cup (250 ml.) of ground oats
1/2 tsp. of soda
150 g. of tofu (I use extra firm tofu)
1/2 cup of brown sugar
4 tbsp. of cocoa powder
5-6 tbsp. of applesauce
Preheat the oven to 165C / 325F.
Grind the oats if you do not have the flour.
Add brown sugar, cocoa powder and baking soda.
Add tofu, applesauce and mix.
Line the baking mold with baking paper and oil it with vegetable or coconut oil. Distribute the chocolate composition.
You can sprinkle it with nuts or chocolate chips.
Bake for 30 minutes.
Done! Cool and serve!
