My children adore buckwheat. This is something I can’t say about myself, more precisely, I could not until recently.
Now everything is different!
I suggest you take another look at buckwheat and cook my new invention!
These balls are very delicious and they taste like hazelnut candies, biscuits, and chocolate. All in one!
It’s surprising, given that there are almost no nuts (except coconut), but the texture is very crisp.
Satiating, sweet because of the dates and with a strong chocolate flavor. The best way to decorate them is with a dusting of sugar-free cocoa powder or melted chocolate.
A tasty and healthy invention, and no one would ever guess what is hidden inside.
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (25 pieces)
1 cup of buckwheat groats
15 large dates
1/2 cup of coconut flakes
5-6 tbsp. of cocoa powder + a little bit for decoration
4 tbsp. of vegan chocolate chips (or regular chocolate)
1-2 tbsp. of water
I will say right away that you can use roasted buckwheat too. Before doing this, soak it for 20-30 minutes, and drain the water.
Add buckwheat and coconut flakes to the blender and grind a little. This is done in order to get a uniform texture to our balls.
Add cocoa powder.
Add the dates.
You should get a sticky chocolate mixture. If it is not so sticky, then add some more dates.
Roll the balls.
Roll some of them in cocoa powder.
For the rest, melt the chocolate with water.
And dip the balls into the melted chocolate. Then put them all in the freezer to set.
Done!
Surprisingly tasty and simple!
Bon appetit!
