I think everyone must learn how to make bread.
It’s an essential knowledge every woman or man must have.
Since we are all busy with our fast-moving lifestyle, work, family etc. there is hardly any time for something like baking bread but sometimes we all come to that point that it will be at least fun to know how to make one.
So today I am showing you how to make an easy, super delicious, ultra simple bread. There can be two types of it: sour and sweet. The sweet one you make with some sugar and dry fruits, the sour one you make with a bit of salt, herbs like rosemary and seeds to your taste.
This way or the other – the bread will be fantastic!
I must add that this recipe is a hit with the kids. And I know what I am talking about – I have 5 of them. Once I had to bake two loafs and both of them were gone in an hour. Kids… right?
So.. crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside – best and easiest to make bread ever!
Ready? Let’s go cooking!
We will need:
2,5 cups (1 cup – 250 ml.) all purpose flour
1 table spoon of baking powder or you can use soda (1 tea spoon) if you want
1/4 cup of cool coconut oil
2-3 table spoons of brown or regular sugar
3/4 cup of any plant based milk
1 table spoon of apple cider
Dry berries or fruits (I use cranberries)
Warm up your oven to 165C/325F.
Mix flour with sugar, add baking powder. Add the oil and mix those ingredients together.
Combine the milk with the vinegar. Your milk should turn to curd.
Mix it with the flour mix. Knead the dough. Add some extra flour if it’s too sticky. Add your dry fruits or seeds.
Put the bread on the banking paper and bake till it’s ready. The outside should be brown and crunchy. Let it cool before slicing. I know it should be hard but… just trust me and wait.
Enjoy with some butter or jams.
Have a great and healthy day!
