The fish is a frequent visitor to our home. All the men in my big family love it very much, and therefore, I have to cook delicious and varied fish dishes often.
Today I offer you a new version of traditional fish in crumbs. No bread or eggs – I use flaxseed meal. The fish can be any kind, but without bones and in the form of a thin fillet. The flaxseed crust is quite crispy, with a slight nutty note. A very unusual taste!
Fast, tasty and healthy. Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (3 servings)
3 fillets of white fish (I used flounder)
5 tbsp. of flaxseed meal
1 tbsp. of lemon juice
1/4 tsp. of curry
1/2 tsp. of oregano
Salt and black pepper to taste
Preheat the oven to 165C / 325F.
Rinse the fish. Add spices and lemon juice. Let it stand a little to absorb the necessary aromas.
Crumb the fish with the seeds several times from both sides and lay it on the baking sheet. The latter must be covered with baking paper. Do not oil, otherwise, the seeds will fall away and there will be no crust.
Bake until the fish is ready.
Done! Bon appetit!
