Today we’re cooking one of the favorite delicacies of my children.
Apple donuts! A donut is a pastry with a hole inside.
Typically donuts are fried in oil and sprinkled with powdered sugar, but not in this recipe.
The recipe consists of only 7 ingredients, the pastry does not need cooking, does not contain sugar and oil.
For the base, I use oats, nuts, and apples. The dough turns out very delicate and delicious. Such donuts are remarkably stored in the freezer as long as you need. An unusual and delicious dessert in front of you!

We will need: (8-9 pieces)
1 . 1/4 cup (1 cup – 250 ml) of oats
1 cup of walnuts
1/2 cup of dry apples
1 tsp of cinnamon
1/4 cup of apple juice
2 tbsp. of maple syrup or honey
Chocolate for decoration (optional)
Grind the nuts and oats.
Add the apples.
Add syrup, juice, and spices to make a thick dough.

Form the donuts. I use a conventional iron mold, since I do not have a convenient silicone one. (I compact the dough inside the mold and take it out with a knife.)
Distribute the donuts on baking paper or food film so they do not stick to the plate on which you will store them.
Put the donuts into freezer until completely solidified. Take them out and cover them with melted chocolate, if you want.
