What can be tastier than a slice of fresh banana bread with jam for breakfast?
You guessed it!
Only two pieces of it, haha. This cake in the States is called bread for its form, but in fact, it is, rather, a cake.
Various seeds, berries, nuts, and chocolate chips are usually added into such “bread”.
I tried different supplements and I prefer to add cranberries and walnuts into mine.
The choice is yours. Delicious, fairly sweet, very gentle – both children and adults will like it.
It is very easy to cook, and all the ingredients are available to everyone. The bread can be kept for about a week in the fridge, where it will stay fresh and tasty.
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need:
1 cup (250 ml cup) of whole wheat flour
1/2 cup of all-purpose flour

2 large very ripe bananas or 3 small bananas
1/4 cup of brown sugar
1/4 cup of white sugar
1/4 cup of vegetable oil + a little bit for the mold
2 tbsp. of walnuts
2-3 tbsp. of dried cranberries (optional)
Preheat the oven to 165C / 325F.
Mash 3 bananas with the fork.
Add the oil and two kinds of sugar. You should get a puree-like mixture.
Add the two kinds of flour and soda. The dough is ready!
Grind the nuts and cranberries and add to the dough.
Lubricate the form with oil and spread the dough there.
Bake for 40-45 minutes.
