Ta-da! We have not had these on my page before – syrniki (Russian: сырники) or cheese pancakes!
You may not believe me, but these “magic” pancakes consist of only a few ingredients.
In appearance, color, taste and smell they are exactly like the “regular” ones.
It’s difficult to imagine, but they contain no dairy products, eggs, flour, or even sugar.
These cheese pancakes are fully satisfying, because they consist of oats and tofu.
They easily charge you with protein and energy until lunch time.
An excellent, nutritious breakfast or restoring snack (for example, after a sports session).
Simple, tasty, and healthy from all sides.
Serve these cheese cakes hot, immediately after cooking. Pour on agave syrup or honey and serve!
Let’s go cooking!
We will need: (8-10 pancakes)
1 1/4 cups (300 ml) oats
1/2 pack (200 g) of the densest tofu
3 Tbsp. agave syrup (can be replaced by 2 tablespoons of sugar)
1/2 tsp. vanilla (optional)
1/2 tsp. lemon juice
A handful of raisins (optional)
Vegetable oil (I use canola oil)
Grind the oats. If you use gluten-free oats you have a “gluten-free recipe.”
Mix with tofu.
Blend and add the syrup and vanilla. Pour in the juice.
Add the raisins.
Form the cheese pancakes, and fry them on both sides in vegetable oil.
