Today we’re making a simple and delicious cake.
Easy to prepare, it consists of simple ingredients and will suit both children and adults.
Full of apple and oats.
This cake is best served warm with milk.

We will need: (3-4 average servings)
1 cup (250 ml.) oats
1/2 cup walnuts
1/3- 1/2 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup applesauce (I use sugar-free applesauce.)
1 large apple
3 Tbsp. dried cranberries or raisins
1/4 cup coconut oil
1 tsp. apple cider vinegar (optional)
Cinnamon to taste
Preheat the oven to 165C / 350F.
Grind the nuts and oats. It doesn’t have to become flour, just a finer consistency. Add sugar and cinnamon.
Peel the apples, cut them, and add cranberries. I prefer to leave a little peel to preserve the texture and add some “live crunch” to the cake.
Mix the applesauce with oil and vinegar. Vinegar is added for a brighter flavor, but it can be omitted if your apples are fragrant enough and have a pleasant sourness. Add the mix to the dry ingredients.
Grease the pan with oil and spread out the dough. Bake 20-25 minutes to get a lightly browned crust.
Serve with almond or regular milk.
