Do you know why?
Because there is a wonderful alternative to it – almond milk!
It is more like a very creamy cow milk with a bright white color and thick texture.
And it is very healthy.
One cup of this milk contains only 60 calories, if you consider that in the usual milk there is twice as much then it is a godsend for those who are on a diet.
It contains 30% of the daily calcium dose and 25% of the daily dose of vitamin D, it also contains vitamin E, which makes the skin radiant, group B vitamins such as riboflavin, iron, healthy plant proteins and fatty acids.
Who wants to live forever, haha?
Ready? Set? Let’s go cooking!
We will need:
1 cup (250 ml) of almonds
2 cups of water
Soak the almonds overnight. Drain the water and carefully rinse the nuts.
Add the water and almonds in a blender and turn it into a liquid white mass.
It looks like this.
Tightly pull gauze over a bowl and strain the milk. Squeeze the leftovers.
Return the liquid to the blender and blend it with the dates. If your almonds are organic, then no additional sweetness is needed. You can do without dates.
Sweet, milky, tasty and very healthy!
P.S. You can make wonderful crackers from the remains of the nuts.
